Activities

The island offers many comforts: including secluded beaches, world class scuba diving with a variety of operators to choose from, world class fishing, sailing, 18 hole championship golf course, shopping, gambling, many restaurants, modern grocery stores, the only conch farm in the world, and a quiet Caribbean life style on this 37 square mile island. Development on the island is just begining to boom. We suggest you visit now while it is still a relatively “undeveloped” paradise.

Pool Dip in the soothing waters of your romantic, private pool. Bathe in the sunlight or the moonlight with no one around, only you and the birds. Your pool is located only a few feet from the house.
Diving Diving is world class with pristine waters, abundant coral reefs and marine life. There are several different dive operations. Fifi of Caicos Adventures has discovered many of the sites off West Caicos (an uninhabited island) where they dive.

Fishing Fishing is also world class (Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, Tuna, Mackerel, Dolphin, Barracuda & Shark). Every July there is an International Annual Billfish Tournament. The pot is in the 6 digits and some marlins come in at over 500 pounds. There are always extraordinary fishing boats at the marina, which they are expanding due to the growing popularity of Provo as a fishing destination.

Snorkeling & Beaches A two minute walk from the house & you can swim & snorkel in Chalk Sound National Park. A 4 minute drive from the house puts you on Taylor Bay, a small quiet bay where you frequently see star fish in the calm, crystal waters. It faces west & therefore is a very nice place to watch the sunset & look for the famous green flash that occurs just as the sun sets in a cloudless sky.
Provo is becoming well known for Grace Bay (a 12 mile stretch) which Conde Nast readers 1999 rated as the most beautiful beach in the world. The sand feels like baby powder. One of the worlds top ranked snorkeling areas (Smiths Reef) is on Grace Bay. There are other beaches, some very secluded, that we have found over the years. It is nice to explore, perhaps you will find you own paradise beach. Caicos Adventures (see above) may take you to West Caicos for snorkeling and strolling on this uninhabited island. Snorkel trips are also available to other near by islands.

Kayaking For your pleasure take the 2 person Angelfish kayak out to explore the cays and marine life of Chalk Sound. Or, on the other side of the house explore the tidal harbor which opens into the sea. Or take the kayak wherever you wish on the island. It is fun & it is inflatble. There are 2 sets of oars & a battery powered inflator.
Resting One of the best features about the house is the extraordinary restful place that it is. All the creature comforts are at your finger tips so that you will feel very much at home. There are plenty of CD’s, books, dvd’s, puzzles and games as well as beach chairs and free high-speed internet access. The house is relatively secluded, there are only several other houses within view and that is because you are the highest point around. The house was designed to be built up high to capture the 300 degree water view. It is absolutely breathtaking- the color of the water changes constantly. And you look out over 3 separate bodies of water; the Sound, Silly Creek which is a natural harbor, and the Caribbean Sea. There are frequently nights when you may lay on the double hammock under the bright stars and hear absolutely nothing. Other nights depending on the time of year you may hear a low hum of crickets. The house has a large yard which adds to the tranquility.

From your paradise home you can watch the sun rise over Chalk Sound and you can watch the sun set over the Caribbean Sea from the living room. The colors are spectacular- deep reds, oranges and yellows to soft purples and blues. Every day the colorful show is new and different. It is a very restful place. The perfect place to fully appreciate the wonders of the world and the beauty and grace in your life.
